Preparing Your Home for Exterior Window Cleaning
You've scheduled your window cleaning appointmentβgreat choice! To ensure everything goes smoothly and your cleaner can work efficiently, there are a few simple things you can do to prepare your home. These quick steps will help us deliver the best possible results.
Clear the Area Around Your Windows
While our pure water poles allow us to clean from ground level, we still need clear access to your windows. Please move any outdoor furniture, planters, garden hoses, children's toys, or other obstacles away from the walls of your home. For ground floor windows, ensure nothing is blocking the approach.
Secure Pets and Children
Our team loves animals, but for everyone's safety, please secure pets inside your home or in a fenced area away from where we're working. The sound of water and unfamiliar people can sometimes excite dogs, and we want to avoid any escapes or accidents. Children should also be supervised and kept away from our equipment.
Close Windows and Doors
Please ensure all windows and exterior doors are securely closed before we begin. This prevents water from entering your home and keeps dust and debris outside where it belongs. Don't forget about upstairs windows that might be open for ventilation.
Remove Window Screens If Possible
If your home has removable window screens, taking them down before we arrive allows us to clean the glass more thoroughly. We're happy to clean screens separately if you leave them in a designated spot. If screens are fixed in place, we'll work around them as best we can.
Note Any Special Concerns
Do you have windows with broken seals, cracked glass, or delicate stained glass? Let us know before we start. We'll take extra care around these areas or avoid them entirely if needed. The same goes for recently painted surfaces or delicate landscaping you're particularly proud of.
Provide Access to Water (If Needed)
While our pure water system carries its own water supply, we sometimes need access to an outdoor tap for initial setup or longer jobs. Please ensure your outdoor tap is accessible and turned on if we might need it. If you don't have an outdoor tap, let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
What About Parking?
Our vans require parking reasonably close to your home. If you have a driveway, please leave it clear for us. If you park on the street, consider moving your vehicle on the morning of your appointment to ensure we can park nearby.
After We Finish
Once we've completed the cleaning, take a quick walk around to inspect our work. If you notice any issues, tell us immediatelyβwe'll fix it on the spot. Our streak-free guarantee means we're not happy until you're happy.
